Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, jump, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
  • physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs
  • close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • availability to work flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays such as day after Thanksgiving and Christmas

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to read and interpret invoices and shipment documents
  • basic computer skills and familiarity with Point of Sale software
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • ability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours
  • commitment to company policies and ethical standards

Job Duties

  • compare and verify merchandise invoices to items received to ensure shipments are correct
  • send any alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx
  • check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips
  • double-check that all transfers have been processed through the register and match what is being shipped out
  • fold items and place in appropriate sized box for proper presentation when shipping
  • remove pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in
  • place Sensormatic tags on each garment in the designated place
  • hang and fold merchandise to be displayed on the sales floor and steam when necessary
  • assist on projects on the floor when necessary
  • work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods
  • develop and maintain knowledge of Point of Sale software
  • receive freight boxes and store transfers through register
  • send discrepancies in store mail and file non-errors
  • maintain shipment-related paperwork
  • recognize security risks and thefts and handle accordingly
  • make FedEx labels for outgoing packages and sort by shipment transit time
  • send in recalls and Return to Vendors weekly
  • keep supplies in stock and organized
  • organize fixtures and shelving
  • maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
  • keep daily work filed and in order
  • report policy violations confidentially to management
  • provide feedback to management on merchandise handling
  • follow Buckle's Code of Ethics and policies
  • perform job duties with high customer service standards
  • handle special projects and other duties as assigned
