Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, jump, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear regularly
  • Ability to sit occasionally
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds throughout the store and backroom
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality
  • Capability to perform routine cleaning and organization activities

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods
  • Basic knowledge or ability to develop knowledge of Point of Sale software
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and paperwork
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and feedback
  • Ability to maintain a neat, clean, and organized workspace
  • Commitment to upholding company ethics, policies, and customer service standards

Job Duties

  • Compare and verify merchandise invoices to items received to ensure that shipments are correct
  • Send any alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx
  • Check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips
  • Double-check that all transfers have been processed through the register and that items match what you are shipping out
  • Fold items and place in appropriate sized box for proper presentation when shipping
  • Remove any pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in
  • Place Sensormatic tags on each garment in the designated place
  • Hang and fold merchandise to be put on the sales floor and steam when necessary
  • Assist on projects on floor when necessary
  • Work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Point of Sale software
  • Receive freight boxes and store transfers through register
  • Send discrepancies in store mail and file non-errors for 30 days
  • Maintain all shipment-related paperwork
  • Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations
  • Make FedEx labels for all packages and sort packages by required shipment transit time
  • Send in recalls and Return to Vendors weekly
  • Keep supplies in stock and organized such as boxes and hangers
  • Organize fixtures and shelving
  • Engage in activities that support a neat, clean, and organized work area
  • Maintain daily work filed and in order
  • Communicate policy violations to management and Human Resources confidentially and timely
  • Provide feedback to management regarding merchandise handling
  • Understand and apply the company’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures
  • Fulfill mission statement by performing duties with high level of customer service while contributing to team spirit
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
