Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Must be able to climb, balance, jump, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to talk and hear effectively
  • Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including holidays
  • Ability to communicate confidentially and effectively with management

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic knowledge or willingness to learn POS software
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a retail environment
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Understanding of security awareness and theft prevention

Job Duties

  • Compare and verify merchandise invoices to items received to ensure that shipments are correct
  • Send any alterations, layaways, or special orders to guests via FedEx
  • Check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips
  • Double-check that all transfers have been processed through the register and that items match what you are shipping out
  • Fold items and place in appropriate sized box for proper presentation when shipping items
  • Remove pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in
  • Place Sensormatic tags on each garment
  • Hang and fold merchandise for sales floor and steam when necessary
  • Assist on projects on floor when necessary
  • Work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of POS software
  • Receive freight boxes and store transfers through register
  • Send discrepancies in store mail and file non-errors for 30 days
  • Maintain all shipment-related paperwork
  • Recognize and handle security risks and thefts
  • Make FedEx labels for outgoing packages and sort by transit time
  • Send in recalls and return to vendors weekly
  • Keep supplies in stock and organized
  • Organize fixtures and shelving
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
  • Maintain daily work files in order
  • Communicate policy violations to management confidentially
  • Provide feedback on merchandise handling concerns
  • Understand and apply Buckle's Code of Ethics and all policies
  • Perform special projects and other assigned duties
