Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
- Capable of lifting and maneuvering up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
- Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Adherence to company code of ethics and policies
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
Job Qualifications
- No prior experience or training required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Proficient in basic computer software and Point of Sale systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Good communication skills to interact with management and team members
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Job Duties
- Compare and verify merchandise invoices to items received to ensure that shipments are correct
- Send any alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx
- Check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips
- Double-check that all transfers have been processed through the register and that items match what you are shipping out
- Fold items and place in appropriate sized box for proper presentation when shipping to Guests and other stores
- Remove any pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in
- Place Sensormatic tags on each garment in the designated place
- Hang and fold merchandise to be put on the sales floor and steam when necessary
- Assist on projects on floor when necessary
- Work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) software
- Receive freight boxes and store transfers through register
- Send discrepancies in store mail and file non-errors for 30 days
- Maintain all shipment-related paperwork
- Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations
- Make FedEx labels for all packages being sent out and sort packages by required shipment transit time
- Send in recalls and Return to Vendors (RTVs) weekly
- Keep supplies in stock and organized
- Organize fixtures and shelving
- Engage in activities that support a neat, clean, and organized work area
- Maintain daily work filed and in order
- Communicate policy violations to Store Manager, District Manager, or Human Resources confidentially and timely
- Provide feedback regarding merchandise handling concerns
- Understand and apply Buckle’s Code of Ethics and policies
- Fulfill mission statement by performing duties with high customer service and positive team spirit
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
