Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Degree in Hospitality Management or Culinary Degree
  • Four or more years of experience in a luxury full-service environment preferred
  • At least one year experience in a leadership service role or similar capacity with exposure to food and beverage standards
  • Knowledge of HACCP and local food safety standards
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to effectively train and maintain accountability of staff

Job Duties

  • Uphold Discovery Land Company Sequence of Service for Food and Beverage outlet
  • Partner with Food and Beverage and Culinary leadership team to create exemplary culinary standards and promote continual improvement
  • Coordinate restaurant activities with Culinary team to optimize member service
  • Work with Catering and Events Manager on event planning and execution
  • Oversee daily operations of Food and Beverage direct service at restaurant outlet
  • Monitor operations through observation and teamwork, ensuring presence on the floor
  • Assist with member or guest issues and concerns in a professional and prompt manner
  • Maintain and update guest histories daily
  • Schedule working hours of restaurant employees considering business volume and labor cost conservation
  • Ensure Food and Beverage department standards are adhered to throughout service areas
  • Oversee completion and recording of cleaning schedules, temperature records, and opening/closing checklists
  • Ensure fast, courteous, and efficient service adhering to safety and service guidelines
  • Practice and train upselling techniques to maximize average spend per cover
  • Provide ongoing on-the-job training and yield management skills to staff
  • Conduct daily briefings to communicate information and provide constructive feedback
  • Address employee concerns and resolve challenges promptly
  • Counsel subordinates on work-related matters
  • Develop team focus on Food and Beverage Service Standards
  • Ensure attendance and conduct training programs for employees
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
