Job Requirements

  • Previous event or stage management experience is required, especially in fast-paced, immersive, or intense environments
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willing and able to work nighttime hours, weekends, and holidays as required by the event
  • Comfortable working in dark, outdoor environments with theatrical effects such as fog, strobe lights, loud soundscapes, and costumed characters
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, including during rehearsals and active show times
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds
  • Comfortable working in outdoor and low-light environments with varying weather conditions
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor while managing performers and ensuring safety in chaotic or unpredictable scenarios

Job Qualifications

  • Previous event or stage management experience, especially in fast-paced, immersive, or intense environments
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Entertainment, Theater, or Management preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of theatrical systems such as lighting, fog, and special effects
  • Ability to receive and implement feedback quickly and constructively
  • Valid state driver's license preferred

Job Duties

  • Leading the operational and artistic execution of a designated Howl-O-Scream zone or attraction
  • Monitoring assigned scare zones and mazes to ensure design intent and safety standards are upheld
  • Supervising scare actors
  • Coordinating rehearsals, scare schools, and training sessions
  • Creating and maintaining show documentation including cue sheets, show bibles, and SOPs
  • Preparing and distributing nightly performance and rehearsal reports
  • Collaborating across departments to maintain artistic integrity, production schedules, and operational safety
  • Supporting onboarding of new performers
  • Maintaining high energy, professionalism, and guest focus during a fast-paced and high-intensity event
