Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in bartending or related food and beverage service role preferred
- Basic Level Alcohol Service Training Certification
- knowledge of Arizona State and Gila River Indian Community liquor laws
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- ability to work in a noise and heat-exposed environment
- ability to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- strong customer service skills
- ability to use POS equipment efficiently
Job Qualifications
- Possess strong customer service and professional etiquette skills
- reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required
- ability to multitask, be a self-starter, and complete tasks in a timely manner
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- possess strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties
- Enthusiastically greets patrons to create an exciting, fun environment
- presents drink or food menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request
- takes beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
- serves snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar
- collects money for drinks or food served
- checks identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- balances cash receipts
- attempts to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons
- mixes ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, prepares cocktails and other drinks
- prepares appetizers such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats
- slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks
- cleans glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
- serves mixed drinks, wine, and bottled or draft beer
- continually cleans bars, work areas, and tables
- provides ideas for and feedback on bar menus to management team
- orders or requisitions liquors and supplies
- arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
- performs additional duties, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time
