Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • prior dishwashing or sanitation experience, preferably in a warehouse setting
  • ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • ability to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly
  • must follow workplace safety procedures
  • ability to read and follow directions
  • capability to handle repetitive lifting and carrying tasks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • prior dishwashing or sanitation experience preferably in a warehouse setting
  • must become familiar with and follow all company and handbook policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Sorts and rinses dirty dishes and cooking utensils and places them in racks to send through dish machine
  • Sorts and stacks clean dishes
  • carries clean dishes to factory production areas and proper storage areas
  • re-washes soiled dishes before delivering
  • Keeps the dish machine clean and reports any functional or mechanical problems immediately
  • Monitors dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
  • Changes dishwater in dish machine hourly
  • Handwashes specific items that cannot be run through the dish machine
  • Keeps dish room clean and organized
  • Maintains adequate levels of clean dishes and utensils in various production areas
  • Handles materials carefully to prevent breakage and loss
  • Maintains adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
  • Wipes up any spills to ensure floors remain dry and safe
  • Cleans and sanitizes various pieces of equipment
  • Lifts and carries racks or stacks of dishes weighing up to 30 lbs many times per shift
  • Reads labels on chemicals and uses appropriate safety precautions concerning each type of chemical
  • Maintains knowledge of workplace safety procedures
