Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to obtain required sales-related licensure or registration
  • less than 1 year experience using computers and retail technology
  • less than 1 year retail experience involving customer service and sales
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to operate store equipment safely
  • willingness to work flexible hours

Job Qualifications

  • Less than 1 year experience using computers including information input and modification
  • less than 1 year experience using retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
  • less than 1 year retail experience involving product sales, customer assistance, warranty explanation, and housekeeping
  • ability to obtain required sales-related licensure or registration

Job Duties

  • Provide SMART customer service through adherence to Lowe's policies and programs
  • seek out customers to understand needs and assist with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, or loading merchandise
  • listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer questions
  • demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers
  • communicate detailed product information including stock, special orders, warranties, and program benefits
  • write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs
  • cross-functionally train in other store departments
  • detect and report signs of theft or security risks to management or Asset Protection
  • maintain store cleanliness and organization through housekeeping standards such as Zone Recovery
  • ensure a safe work environment by conducting safety reviews, clearing hazards, and securing premises
  • adhere to all safety requirements related to job duties
  • operate store equipment including Zebra phone, paging system, copiers, CCTV, and specialized tools as needed
