Job Requirements

  • less than 1 year experience using a computer including inputting accessing modifying or outputting information
  • less than 1 year experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
  • less than 1 year retail experience performing tasks like identifying and selling products explaining warranties product features and benefits assisting customers locating products building customer relationships identifying and resolving customer issues zone recovery and housekeeping
  • ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as required by law

Job Duties

  • provide SMART customer service through execution of Lowe's policies procedures and programs
  • seek out customers to understand needs assist in locating demonstrating selecting carrying and loading merchandise
  • listen and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions taking them to store areas and guiding projects
  • demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers
  • communicate stock special orders feature benefits application and warranty information
  • write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs
  • cross-functionally train in other store areas to deliver best customer service
  • detect signs of shoplifting theft and security risks and report to management or Asset Protection
  • ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • maintain safe and secure work environment including daily safety reviews hazard noting aisle clearing and securing doors and gates
  • adhere to all relevant safety requirements including top stock safety safety cables aisle blockers tether lines spotters and safety devices
  • operate store equipment as needed such as Zebra phone telephone paging system copiers fax computers CCTV key cutter panel saw paint mixer flooring cutters compacter baler and tool rentals
