Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • less than 1 year experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • less than 1 year experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
  • less than 1 year retail experience performing tasks like identifying and selling products, explaining warranties and product features, assisting customers in locating products, building relationships, resolving customer issues, zone recovery, and housekeeping
  • ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as required by law

Job Duties

  • provides SMART customer service at all times through daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
  • seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
  • listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions by guiding them through projects
  • demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
  • communicates information regarding stock, special orders, benefits, application, and warranty relevant to Lowe's programs
  • writes customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs in the Tool Rental Department
  • cross-functionally trains in other store areas to enhance customer service delivery
  • detects signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks and reports them to management
  • ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and maintains cleanliness and organization of store and work areas
  • maintains a safe and secure work environment including conducting safety reviews and securing premises
  • adheres to safety requirements such as top stock safety, use of aisle blockers, and safety devices
  • operates store equipment including phones, paging systems, copiers, CCTV, and specialized tools depending on department
