Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers
  • Basic proficiency with computer and retail technology
  • Customer-focused attitude with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and store policies
  • Capability to operate store equipment as required
  • Willingness to undergo training and obtain necessary licensure

Job Qualifications

  • Less than 1 year experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • Less than 1 year experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
  • Less than 1 year retail experience involving product identification, sales, explaining warranties and product features, customer assistance, zone recovery, and housekeeping
  • Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law

Job Duties

  • Provides SMART customer service at all times through the execution of Lowe's customer service policies and programs
  • Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
  • Listens to and responds knowledgeably to customer and associate questions by guiding and demonstrating project walkthroughs
  • Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers to enhance the shopping experience
  • Communicates information about stock, special orders, product benefits, applications, and warranty programs
  • Writes customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs
  • Cross-functionally trains in other store areas to support overall customer service
  • Detects and reports signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks promptly to management or Asset Protection
  • Maintains housekeeping standards and store organization through Zone Recovery and other programs
  • Ensures a safe and secure work environment by conducting safety reviews and adhering to safety protocols
  • Operates store equipment such as Zebra phones, paging systems, copiers, fax machines, CCTV surveillance, key cutters, and rental tools as needed
