Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of bar experience preferably in upscale or lifestyle brand hotel, nightclub, or day club
- State-certified alcohol compliance training (ABC/RBS)
- Food handler's card
- Able to stand during shifts
- Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach daily
- Able to lift and move up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Regular and on-time attendance
- Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of bar experience preferably in upscale or lifestyle brand hotel, nightclub, or day club
- Speaking other languages is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State-certified alcohol compliance training (ABC/RBS)
- Food handler's card
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of service standards and hospitality culture
- Ability to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Welcome and entertain all customers professionally and courteously according to venue sequence of service
- Assure opening checklist is completed and bar area is prepared for opening
- Use the 10/5 rule when encountering guests
- Provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times
- Follow established carding policy, ensuring 21 years of age for alcohol consumption
- Assist in food and/or beverage orders in a timely manner
- Assist, support and work with bartenders and waiters
- Clean and maintain tables and area throughout shift
- Set up and breakdown the bar
- Wash and polish all glassware
- Ensure consistent beverage preparation, presentation and quality
- Ensure order of bar and cleanliness in accordance to health and safety regulations
- Ensure that bar is stocked to par levels
- Restock and replenish refrigerators and liquor cabinets according to par list when needed
- Perform additional duties as requested by supervisor
- Complete closing duties within scheduled time
- Understand operational set up and principle of venue
- Provide customers with accurate information about venue and entertainment
- Possess knowledge of SKYBAR beverage menu and product offerings
- Constantly increase knowledge of events and happenings in the hotel
- Maintain knowledge of venue floor plan and table numbers for seating
- Be knowledgeable of hotel amenities and hours of operation
- Communicate all relevant information to service team
- Work with professionalism towards customers to ensure return visits
- Communicate with management and service staff to rectify customer needs and requests
- Other duties as assigned
