Job Requirements
- Three or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns
- Minimum two seasons of personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week across three or more days
- Bookkeeping experience related to tax preparation preferred
- Experience with service industry business tax returns preferred
- Possess or obtain required state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with computer operations and tax software
- Strong customer service skills with video/audio communication
- Excellent communication abilities
- Critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Internet connection that meets Intuit security criteria
- Residency in the United States
Job Qualifications
- CPA, EA, or Practicing Attorney credential
- Minimum three years of recent business tax preparation experience for federal and state returns
- Experience preparing federal and state business tax returns for partnerships and S corporations
- Knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient with technology and tax preparation software
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Experience with customer service and video communication tools
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers to customers using everyday language
- Engage with customers via state-of-the-art video communication software to provide expert tax advice and full service business return preparation
- Assist with tax calculations, filing tax extensions, and managing product/software inquiries
- Create high quality customer interactions that instill confidence using deep empathy and tax preparation expertise
- Apply defined practices and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and return preparation issues
- Document customer interactions and participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed
