Job Requirements
- Must possess active CPA, EA, or practicing attorney credential
- Must have or be able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week over at least three days
- Must have or be willing to obtain internet connection meeting Intuit security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season using commercial tax preparation software
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience with at least 30 tax returns per tax year, strongly preferred
- Strong business tax preparation knowledge and extensive knowledge of tax laws
- Active PTIN
- Knowledge of Circular 230
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with technology and computer software
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally through audio and video tools
- Critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers to customers using everyday language
- Interact with customers through video communications software for tax advice and full-service business return preparation and signature
- Handle product and software inquiries, tax calculations, and filing tax extensions
- Create high quality customer interactions and experiences with deep customer empathy and expertise in business tax preparation
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return preparation issues
- Document customer interactions and work continuously toward meeting company key performance metrics and goals
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed
