Job Requirements
- Three or more years of recent business tax preparation experience
- Minimum of two seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week across three or more days
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation preferred
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
- Must possess or be able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with technology and software
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must have internet connection meeting Intuit security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Three or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax preparation software
- Minimum of two seasons of personal tax preparation experience with at least 30 tax returns per tax year in a tax practice or retail setting preferred
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation strongly preferred
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
- Possession of or ability to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with technology including computer operations and software
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Must reside in the United States
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
- Use video communications software to interact with customers in a virtual, customer-facing role
- Provide tax advice, full service business return preparation and signature
- Handle product/software inquiries
- Perform tax calculations
- Assist with filing tax extensions
- Create high quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return preparation
- Document customer interactions
- Work continuously toward meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed
