Job Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience preparing federal and state business tax returns for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax software
- Must have an active, unrestricted credential CPA, EA, or practicing attorney
- Must have or be able to obtain related state licenses
- Must have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number PTIN
- Must have proficient technological skills and reliable internet connection meeting Intuit security criteria
- Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week across three or more days
- Must reside in the United States
- Must demonstrate strong customer service, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Preferably have bookkeeping experience and service industry business tax preparation experience
- Must possess working knowledge of Circular 230
Job Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted credential such as CPA, EA, or practicing attorney
- Strong business tax preparation experience with at least 3 years preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for 20 or more clients per season using commercial tax software
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Proficient with technology and computer software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with ability to interact professionally via video and audio
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills
- Must possess or be able to obtain related state licenses and an active PTIN
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax prep preferred
- Experience with service industry business tax returns preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
- Interact with customers using video communications software (Smartlook) in a virtual, customer-facing role
- Assist TurboTax Business customers with tax advice, full service business return preparation and signature, product/software inquiries, tax calculations, and filing tax extensions
- Create high quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence using deep customer empathy and expertise in business tax preparation
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return preparation issues
- Document customer interactions and work continuously toward meeting company performance metrics and goals
