Job Requirements
- 3 or more years recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns using commercial tax software
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Must be available to work minimum 20 hours per week across three or more days
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation preferred
- Experience with business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
- Must possess or be able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must have active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with technology and computer software
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Must have or be willing to obtain internet connection meeting Intuit Security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted CPA, EA, or practicing attorney credential
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns for at least 20 clients/customers per season
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Bookkeeping experience relating to books-to-tax preparation strongly preferred
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
- Possess or able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with technology and computer software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
- Interact with customers virtually using state-of-the-art video communications software
- Provide tax advice, full-service business return preparation and signature
- Handle product and software inquiries
- Perform tax calculations
- Assist in filing tax extensions
- Create high quality customer interactions that instill confidence using deep customer empathy and extensive tax knowledge
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return preparation issues
- Document customer interactions
- Work toward meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed
