Job Requirements
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week across three or more days
- Must have or be willing to obtain internet connection meeting Intuit Security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
- Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, or permits
- Proficient with technology and tax preparation software
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Strong customer service skills through video and audio communication tools
Job Qualifications
- 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season
- Minimum 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience with at least 30 returns per tax year preferred
- Active credential such as CPA, EA, or practicing attorney
- Proficient in tax laws for business and personal tax returns
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and research skills
- Experience with bookkeeping related to tax preparation preferred
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Provide tax advice and full-service return preparation for business tax returns
- Manage customer interactions through video communications software
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax guidance
- Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive customer and business information
- Assist customers with tax calculations, filing extensions, and software inquiries
- Document customer interactions and compliance activities
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and company initiatives to improve product offerings
