Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns for compensation
- Prepare at least 20 clients/customers per season
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience strongly preferred
- Available to work at least 20 hours per week across three or more days
- Possess or able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Proficient with technology
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Must have or be willing to obtain an internet connection meeting Intuit Security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted credential (CPA, EA, Practicing Attorney)
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Extensive experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Experience using commercial tax preparation software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with technology and computer software
- Strong customer service skills with ability to interact professionally via video and audio
- Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax answers to customers using everyday language
- Engage with customers through state-of-the-art video communication software (Smartlook) for live tax support
- Provide tax advice, full-service business return preparation and signature services
- Troubleshoot and resolve product/software inquiries related to TurboTax Business
- Calculate taxes, file tax extensions, and manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations
- Document customer interactions and participate in pilot testing and company projects as needed
