Job Requirements
- Three or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week across three or more days
- Must possess or be able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Must have working knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with technology
- Strong customer service skills for video and audio interactions
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Must have or be willing to obtain internet connection that meets Intuit security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Active CPA, EA, or practicing attorney credential
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Strong business tax preparation experience with federal and state returns
- Minimum of 3 years preparing 1065 or 1120-S returns for at least 20 clients per season
- Personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Bookkeeping experience linked to tax preparation preferred
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with technology and software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
- Provide tax advice, full service business return preparation and signature
- Handle product/software inquiries
- Manage tax calculations and filing tax extensions
- Create high quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence using deep customer empathy and extensive knowledge
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed
