Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years recent business tax preparation experience for at least 20 clients per season
- Minimum 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Available to work at least 20 hours per week across three or more days
- Bookkeeping experience preferred
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
- Ability to obtain related state licenses or permits
- Possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient in computer operations and software
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving and research abilities
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Meet Intuit security criteria for internet connection
- Must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Strong business tax preparation experience with 3 or more years of recent federal and state tax return experience for partnerships and S corporations
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Active, unrestricted CPA, EA or Practicing Attorney credential
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with technology and software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills for interacting via video and audio tools
- Critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information responsibly
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to provide accurate tax answers in everyday language
- Interact with customers virtually using video communication software to assist with tax preparation and inquiries
- Provide tax advice, prepare full service business tax returns, and manage tax calculations and filing of extensions
- Create high quality customer interactions that build confidence and demonstrate deep tax knowledge
- Document customer interactions accurately and maintain compliance with company policies
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and process improvements as required
