Job Requirements
- 3 or more years of recent business tax preparation experience
- Preparation of federal and state business tax returns using commercial software
- Minimum 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Availability to work at least 20 hours per week across multiple days
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation preferred
- Experience with service industry business tax returns preferred
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Possess or obtain related state licenses and permits
- Willingness to meet Intuit security criteria for internet connection
- Must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted credential such as CPA, EA, or Practicing Attorney
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns for at least 20 clients per season
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Experience with commercial tax preparation software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with technology and computer operations
- Strong customer service skills for virtual interactions
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Provide expert tax advice to customers
- Prepare and file complex business tax returns for partnerships and S Corporations
- Use video communications software to interact with customers
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer information
- Utilize government and professional resources for tax research
- Handle tax calculations, product and software inquiries
- Document customer interactions and troubleshoot tax return issues
