Job Requirements

must have at least 3 years of business tax preparation experience
minimum 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
must be available to work at least 20 hours per week across three or more days
bookkeeping experience preferred
experience with service industry business tax returns preferred
must possess or be able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
must have active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
must have working knowledge of Circular 230
must be proficient with technology and software
strong customer service skills
excellent verbal and written communication skills
critical thinking and problem solving abilities
ability to work in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
must have (or be willing to obtain) internet connection meeting Intuit security criteria
must reside in the United States

Job Qualifications

active, unrestricted credential such as CPA, EA, or practicing Attorney
strong business tax preparation experience with at least 3 years preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax software
minimum 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation strongly preferred
experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
possession or ability to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
working knowledge of Circular 230
proficient with technology and computer software
strong customer service and communication skills
critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills

Job Duties

maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
interact with customers using state-of-the-art video communications software to provide tax advice, full service business return preparation, product/software inquiries, tax calculations, and filing tax extensions
create high quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence using deep customer empathy and extensive knowledge in business tax preparation and books to tax accounting entries
apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return preparation
document customer interactions
work continuously toward meeting company key performance metrics and big bet goals
participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed
