Job Requirements
- Possess an active, unrestricted credential such as CPA, EA, or practicing attorney
- Available to work at least 20 hours per week across three or more days
- Possess or be able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Reside in the United States
- Have an internet connection that meets Intuit security criteria
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills
Job Qualifications
- Three or more years of recent business tax preparation experience
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws for business and personal returns
- Experience preparing at least 20 business tax returns per season using commercial tax software
- Minimum of two seasons of personal tax preparation experience strongly preferred
- Strong bookkeeping experience related to tax preparation preferred
- Proficient with technology and software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
Job Duties
- Provide expert tax advice to customers
- Prepare full service business tax returns for partnerships and S corporations
- Utilize video communication software to interact with customers
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer information
- Use professional resources and government websites to support accurate tax preparation
- Resolve product and software inquiries
- Document customer interactions thoroughly
- Participate in pilot testing and projects as required
- Work towards meeting company performance metrics and goals
