Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Must be available to work at least 20 hours per week across three or more days
- Must possess or be able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Must possess working knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with technology including computer operations and software
- Strong customer service skills with ability to interact via video and audio tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have or be willing to obtain an internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Strong business tax preparation experience
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Experience preparing and filing complex business tax returns for partnerships and S corporations
- Minimum of two seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Proficient in commercial tax preparation software
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Knowledge of Circular 230
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking, problem solving and research abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills in virtual settings
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers to customers in everyday language
- Provide tax advice, full service business return preparation and signature
- Handle product and software inquiries related to TurboTax Business products
- Perform tax calculations and filing of tax extensions
- Create high quality customer interactions using deep customer empathy and extensive tax knowledge
- Document customer interactions and strive to meet company key performance metrics and goals
