Job Requirements
- 3 or more years of recent business tax return preparation experience
- minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience preferred
- active preparer tax identification number (PTIN)
- availability to work at least 20 hours per week across three or more days
- strong bookkeeping experience preferred
- experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
- possession or eligibility to obtain required state licenses or permits
- ability to work virtually using video communication software
- must have internet connection meeting Intuit security standards
- reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- minimum of three years of recent business tax preparation experience preparing federal and state returns for partnerships and S corporations
- active credential such as CPA, EA, or practicing attorney
- knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations for business and personal tax returns
- experience using commercial tax preparation software
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency with technology and computer software
- excellent customer service skills with ability to use video and audio tools professionally
- critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- familiarity with Circular 230
- experience working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- ability to meet Intuit security criteria for internet connectivity
- must reside in the United States
Job Duties
- maintain sensitive customer and proprietary business information responsibly and securely
- utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find and deliver accurate tax answers in everyday language
- interact with customers through video communications software providing tax advice and full-service return preparation
- assist customers with tax calculations, filing extensions, and handling product/software inquiries
- create high-quality customer interactions that instill confidence using deep empathy and extensive tax knowledge
- apply defined practices and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve tax advice and return preparation issues
- document customer interactions and work toward company performance metrics and goals
