Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns 1065 and/or 1120-S for a minimum of 20 clients per season
- minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience with at least 30 returns per tax year highly preferred
- availability to work minimum 20 hours per week across at least three days
- possession or ability to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits or bonds
- possession of an active preparer tax identification number PTIN
- working knowledge of Circular 230
- proficiency with technology and tax software
- strong customer service skills
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- ability to work independently in a fast-paced virtual environment
- must have or be willing to obtain an internet connection meeting Intuit security criteria
- must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Strong business tax preparation experience with extensive knowledge of tax laws
- 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season
- minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience with a minimum of 30 tax returns per tax year, preferred
- bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation, preferred
- experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers, preferred
- possession or ability to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits or bonds
- active preparer tax identification number (PTIN)
- working knowledge of Circular 230
- proficient with technology including computer operations and software
- strong customer service skills with professional video and audio communication
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- critical thinking, problem solving and research skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable and safe manner
- utilize government websites, professional resources and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
- interact with customers through state-of-the-art video communications software
- provide tax advice, full-service business return preparation and signature
- manage product/software inquiries
- perform tax calculations
- file tax extensions
- create high quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence using deep customer empathy and expertise in business tax preparation
- apply defined practices, procedures and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return issues
- document customer interactions
- work continuously toward meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals
- participate in pilot testing, projects and experience validations
