Job Requirements
- Possess or be able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Minimum of 20 hours availability per week spread across three or more days
- Prior experience preparing federal and state business tax returns, including Forms 1065 and 1120-S
- Strong customer service skills
- Must have or be willing to obtain an internet connection that meets Intuit security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
- Proficient with computer operations and software
- Experience with bookkeeping related to tax preparation preferred
Job Qualifications
- Active CPA, EA, or practicing attorney credential
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns for at least 20 clients per season
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws for businesses and personal returns
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience with at least 30 tax returns per season preferred
- Proficient in using commercial tax preparation software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally via video and audio tools
- Critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills
- Knowledge of Circular 230 regulations
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax information in everyday language
- Interact with customers through state-of-the-art video communications to provide tax advice and full-service business return preparation
- Manage product and software inquiries related to TurboTax Business products
- Calculate taxes, file tax extensions and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws
- Document customer interactions and maintain records of tax preparation activities
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and company initiatives to improve product offerings and customer experience
