Job Requirements
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Must reside in the United States
- Must be available to work minimum 20 hours per week spread across three or more days
- Must possess or obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must have or be willing to obtain internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria
- Strong business tax preparation experience with extensive knowledge of tax laws
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Proficient with technology and software
Job Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted credential such as CPA, EA, or Practicing Attorney
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns including 1065 or 1120-S for at least 20 clients/customers per season
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Proficient with commercial tax preparation software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills
- Experience with bookkeeping and books to tax accounting entries strongly preferred
- Ability to interact professionally and confidently with customers via video and audio tools
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax guidance to customers using everyday language
- Interact with customers through state-of-the-art video communications software to provide tax advice, full service return preparation, tax calculations, and product/software inquiries
- Create high quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence using customer empathy and extensive knowledge of business tax preparation
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return preparation issues
- Document customer interactions accurately
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed
