Job Requirements
- Must possess an active, unrestricted CPA, EA, or practicing attorney credential
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns for partnerships and S corporations
- Must be available to work at least 20 hours per week across three or more days
- Must have or be willing to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Must have working knowledge of Circular 230
- Must be proficient with technology and software
- Must demonstrate strong customer service skills
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must have or be willing to obtain internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted credential such as CPA, EA, or practicing attorney
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S)
- Strong knowledge of federal and state business tax laws
- Experience preparing at least 20 client business tax returns per season using commercial tax software
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Bookkeeping experience and knowledge of books to tax preparation preferred
- Experience with service industry business tax returns preferred
- Possession or ability to obtain state licenses, certificates, permits or bonds
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with technology and software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
- Use state-of-the-art video communications software to interact with customers virtually
- Provide tax advice, full service business return preparation and signature
- Manage product/software inquiries and tax calculations
- File tax extensions and assist with complex business tax returns
- Create high quality customer interactions and experiences with empathy and expertise
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and return preparation
- Document customer interactions
- Work toward meeting company key performance metrics and goals
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed
