Job Requirements
- Possess or able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week spread across three or more days
- Reside in the United States
- Strong business tax preparation experience
- Proficient with technology including computer operations and software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Must have or be willing to obtain an internet connection that meets Intuit's security criteria
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation preferred
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
Job Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted credential such as CPA, EA, or practicing attorney
- Strong business tax preparation experience with at least 3 years preparing federal and state tax returns
- Minimum 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Proficient with commercial tax preparation software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally using video and audio tools
- Critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
Job Duties
- Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations
- Provide tax advice and full service return preparation
- Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate tax information
- Interact with customers through video communications software
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries related to tax preparation and software
- Document customer interactions thoroughly
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations
