Job Requirements
- 3 or more years of recent business tax preparation experience preparing federal and state returns for Partnerships and/or S Corporations
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience with at least 30 tax returns per year preferred
- Availability to work minimum 20 hours per week across three or more days
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation preferred
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
- Possession or ability to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Proficient with technology and computer operations
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Must have or be willing to obtain internet connection meeting Intuit security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Active CPA, EA, or practicing attorney credential
- Strong business tax preparation experience with at least 3 years preparing federal and state returns for Partnerships and S Corporations
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations for business and personal tax returns
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Experience preparing tax returns using commercial tax preparation software
- Proficient in technology with solid knowledge of computer operations and software
- Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Possession of active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
- Interact with customers through video communications software to provide tax advice and full service business return preparation
- Provide tax calculations, product/software inquiries support, and assist with filing tax extensions
- Create high quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence using deep customer empathy and extensive expertise in business tax preparation
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return preparation issues
- Document customer interactions and work towards meeting company key performance metrics and goals
