Job Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Three or more years of recent business tax preparation experience
- Minimum of two seasons of personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Active CPA, EA or Practicing Attorney credential required
- Must be available to work at least 20 hours per week over three or more days
- Must possess or be willing to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits or bonds
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Must have working knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with technology and software
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Must have critical thinking, problem solving and research skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must have or be willing to obtain an internet connection meeting Intuit security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Three or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax preparation software
- Minimum of two seasons of personal tax preparation experience with at least 30 tax returns per tax year strongly preferred
- Active CPA, EA or Practicing Attorney credential
- Possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with technology and computer software
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
- Interact with customers virtually using state of the art video communications software to provide expert tax advice and full service business return preparation
- Assist TurboTax Business customers with tax advice, full service return preparation, signature, product and software inquiries, tax calculations and filing tax extensions
- Create high quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence using deep customer empathy and extensive business tax knowledge
- Apply defined practices, procedures and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return preparation issues
- Document customer interactions and participate in pilot testing, projects and experience validations as needed
