Job Requirements
- Minimum three years of business tax preparation experience preparing federal and state business tax returns for at least 20 clients per tax season
- Minimum two seasons of personal tax preparation experience preparing at least 30 personal tax returns per year strongly preferred
- Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week over three or more days
- Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Must have or be willing to obtain internet connection that meets Intuit security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted credential such as CPA, EA, or practicing attorney
- Strong knowledge of federal and state business tax laws and regulations
- Minimum three years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns for partnerships and S corporations
- Experience preparing personal tax returns preferred
- Bookkeeping experience related to tax preparation strongly preferred
- Proficient with technology and software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with ability to interact professionally via video and audio
- Critical thinking, problem solving and research skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Resident of the United States
- Possess or willing to obtain related state licenses and PTIN number
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
- Interact with customers using Intuit's video communications software to provide tax advice and full service business return preparation
- Manage product and software inquiries related to TurboTax Business
- Perform tax calculations and file tax extensions
- Create high quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence through deep empathy and expertise
- Document customer interactions and work toward meeting company performance metrics and goals
