Job Requirements
- 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax preparation software
- Minimum of 2 seasons personal tax preparation experience with at least 30 tax returns per tax year preferred
- Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week spread across three or more days
- Must possess an active preparer tax identification number (PTIN)
- Must have or be able to obtain related state licenses certificates permits or bonds
- Must reside in the United States
- Must have or be willing to obtain an internet connection that meets Intuit security criteria
- Strong customer service skills and excellent communication abilities
- Proficient with technology and software
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Strong business tax preparation experience with extensive knowledge of tax laws
- Experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience with at least 30 tax returns per tax year in a tax practice or retail setting preferred
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation strongly preferred
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
- Must possess or be able to obtain related state licenses certificates permits or bonds
- Must possess an active preparer tax identification number (PTIN)
- Working knowledge of Circular 230
- Proficient with technology and software
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking problem solving and research skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Must have or be willing to obtain an internet connection that meets Intuit security criteria
- Must reside in the United States
Job Duties
- Maintain sensitive customer confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible reliable and safe manner
- Utilize government websites professional resources and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
- Use state of the art video communications software to interact with customers in a virtual customer-facing role
- Provide tax advice full service business return preparation and signature
- Address product/software inquiries and tax calculations
- File tax extensions when necessary
- Create high quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence using deep customer empathy and expertise in business tax preparation
- Apply defined practices procedures and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return preparation issues
- Document customer interactions
- Work continuously toward meeting company key performance metrics and goals
- Participate in pilot testing projects and experience validations as needed
