Job Requirements
- Must possess active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Must have or be able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
- Minimum of 20 hours per week availability spread over three or more days
- Solid bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation preferred
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers preferred
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) an internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria
- Must be able to work virtually using video communications software
- Must reside in the United States
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Must have excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Active CPA, EA, or Practicing Attorney credential
- Minimum of 3 years recent business tax preparation experience with commercial tax software
- Experience preparing and filing federal and state business tax returns for 20 or more clients per season
- Strong personal tax preparation experience preferred
- Proficient with tax laws and regulations for business and personal returns
- Knowledge of Circular 230
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in computer operations and software
- Must reside in the United States
Job Duties
- Provide tax advice to TurboTax Business customers
- Prepare full-service business tax returns including Partnerships and S Corporations
- Respond to product and software inquiries related to TurboTax
- Perform tax calculations and assist in filing tax extensions
- Maintain sensitive customer information confidentially and securely
- Use government resources and team expertise to deliver accurate tax information in everyday language
- Document customer interactions and follow company policies to resolve tax issues
