Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior bartending or relevant hospitality experience
  • ability to stand for long periods and work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • knowledge of cash handling and POS systems
  • ability to follow liquor laws and regulations
  • willingness to undergo liquor liability training within 30 days of employment

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of different kinds of liquor and drink recipes
  • experience with cash handling and point of sale systems such as MICROS
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • ability to maintain supplies and manage inventory
  • training or certification in liquor liability is preferred
  • prior bartending experience is an asset
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • efficiently maintain bar supplies including preparation of daily requisition as necessary
  • be completely familiar with all kinds of liquor recipes and prices of drinks proper glassware and garnishes
  • know drink recipes prices and types of beverages available
  • be familiar with accurate cash handling procedures including proper discounting microsoft system or registers bank procedures and tip policies
  • be responsible for accurately charging guests for drinks and accurate intake of all monies
  • anticipate guest needs respond promptly and acknowledge all guests maintaining positive guest relations
  • resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction in each interaction
  • be formally trained regarding liquor liability within 30 days of employment and every 2 years thereafter
