Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior bartending or relevant hospitality experience
- ability to stand for long periods and work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- knowledge of cash handling and POS systems
- ability to follow liquor laws and regulations
- willingness to undergo liquor liability training within 30 days of employment
Job Qualifications
- knowledge of different kinds of liquor and drink recipes
- experience with cash handling and point of sale systems such as MICROS
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to maintain supplies and manage inventory
- training or certification in liquor liability is preferred
- prior bartending experience is an asset
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- efficiently maintain bar supplies including preparation of daily requisition as necessary
- be completely familiar with all kinds of liquor recipes and prices of drinks proper glassware and garnishes
- know drink recipes prices and types of beverages available
- be familiar with accurate cash handling procedures including proper discounting microsoft system or registers bank procedures and tip policies
- be responsible for accurately charging guests for drinks and accurate intake of all monies
- anticipate guest needs respond promptly and acknowledge all guests maintaining positive guest relations
- resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction in each interaction
- be formally trained regarding liquor liability within 30 days of employment and every 2 years thereafter
