Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry merchandise as required
- Flexible availability including weekends holidays and evenings
Job Qualifications
- Clear effective communication with strong interpersonal skills
- Accountability initiative and a high level of ownership
- Organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds for stock support or fulfillment roles
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
Job Duties
- Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers and escorting them to fitting rooms then sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program
- Keep the stockrooms organized and complete all inventory processes ensuring merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- Work with the team to ensure the sales floor remains runway ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
- Assist customers with a variety of transactions through a seamless and friendly experience
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Defuse customer situations and provide resolutions in a timely and effective manner
