Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent degree
- 1-2 years prior retail experience
- Prior sewing experience
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for sewing and fittings
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to use POS systems
- Good communication skills
- Ability to resolve customer service issues
- Maintain compliance with dress code
- Availability to work flexible hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent degree
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior sewing experience, preferably in bridal or special occasion production environment
- Experience with computerized POS systems is a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple customers and tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of garment alteration techniques
- Customer service excellence
- Ability to work collaboratively with stylists and store team
- Attention to detail and quality control
Job Duties
- Welcome all customers with genuine and friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person
- Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver five-star customer experience
- Maintain all service levels by being prepared, welcoming, meet the needs and be there for all customers
- Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at one time
- Proactively address customer concerns with confidence and escalate when necessary
- Communicate the importance of alterations in perfecting dresses and promote all alteration services
- Assist stylists in consulting customers on gown fit and customization
- Maintain store standards to support a flawless shopping experience
- Greet and escort alterations customers to and from appointments
- Inspect all altered, steamed and pressed garments to ensure they meet quality standards
- Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information
- Build long-term relationships with customers to exceed satisfaction and loyalty
- Manage inventory by processing special orders and ensuring quality standards
- Ensure alteration pricing aligns with company standards
- Manage all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning of garments
- Resolve customer service issues swiftly and effectively
- Support cash wrap processes with transaction accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized alterations room
- Perform duties as assigned by store management
