Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years seamstress or alterations experience with high-end merchandise
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate both written and orally
- Knowledge of stitching, fitting, and alterations techniques
- Ability to work independently and produce high quality sewing results
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Willingness to follow safety and company policies
- Close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception abilities required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years seamstress and alterations experience with high-end merchandise
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
- Knowledge of different types of stitching, fitting, and alterations
- Full knowledge of the complete alterations process by hand sewing and machine
- Understanding of draping, fabrication, and pressing
- Ability to work independently with close attention to detail
- Experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Exceptional work accuracy and quality sewing skills
Job Duties
- Use industrial sewing machines to perform alterations
- Make proactive and requested garment repairs including hemming, mending, button and zipper replacement
- Ensure highest standards of guest service at all times
- Present a pleasant and positive attitude to customers
- Complete garment alterations within specified timelines and with high accuracy
- Identify garments that can or cannot be altered based on fabric and styling
- Work rapidly and accurately using appropriate equipment and follow safety rules
- Interact effectively with guests and perform ordering and clerical tasks
- Collaborate as a team member to foster a strong working environment
- Mark garments correctly and follow markings made by others
- Achieve productivity goals and assist with process improvements
- Abide by company policies and maintain cleanliness and safety in work area
