Job Requirements

  • Valid Washington State Food Workers Card
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and work within deadlines
  • Self-motivation and initiative
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Flexible availability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Successful completion of background and reference checks
  • Compliance with local state and federal employment laws and standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of seafood handling experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of food including ingredients applications pronunciations and culinary skills
  • Familiarity with food safety HACCP Department of Health guidelines
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse team environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain high-quality standards in product management and presentation supporting and executing production of Seafood Department merchandising and displays
  • Effectively perform seafood cutting responsibilities
  • minimize product loss while producing visually attractive merchandise that will appeal to guests
  • Provide outstanding customer service and readily communicate product information to increase sales meet revenue goals and best serve guests
  • Participate in quarterly physical inventories and practices inventory control
  • Ensure that highest quality products are stocked
  • appropriately remove and replace outdated product from sales areas on a daily basis
