Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior custodial or facility maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including walking, standing, bending and lifting heavy objects
- Ability to operate and maintain janitorial equipment
- Ability to follow safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work third shift hours and flexible schedule
- Willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques

- Ability to operate and use tools and equipment
- Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions
- Strong follow-through on delegated tasks and assignments

- Basic knowledge of general housekeeping methods and practices, cleaning products and use
- Knowledge of hard floor and carpet detail projects
Job Duties
- Perform projects as instructed by DFS management including carpet extraction, encapsulation, and spotting
- Hard floor stripping, waxing, burnishing, polishing and scrubbing
- Facility periodic detailing duties as assigned
- Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs and any damages
- Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner
- Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition
- Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals
- Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times
- Perform other custodial duties as assigned
