Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- possess current Food Handlers Card
- able to communicate effectively in English
- physically active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop for extended periods
- capable of lifting and/or moving items up to 50 pounds
- comfortable working in close contact with extreme temperatures
- available to work outdoors as needed
- cleared criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health
- demonstrated skills in leadership, training, and supervision
- proficient written and oral communication skills
- ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
- ability to frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds
- comfort with working near extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
- ability to work indoors and outdoors
- criminal background clearance
Job Duties
- Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes
- provide exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
- ensure health protocols including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and food temperatures are always followed
- familiarize yourself with residents' preferences and needs
- participate in resident orientations
- maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- assist in inventory and stock management as needed
