Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- Ability to work graveyard shift
- Capability to lift and maneuver heavy objects up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
- Willingness to comply with safety and sanitation guidelines
- Physical ability to perform bakery duties as described
- Authorization to work in the country
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bakery experience preferred but not required
- Ability to understand and follow recipes and bakery procedures
- Basic knowledge of bakery terms and processes
- Ability to work overnight shifts
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks required for baking
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Perform bakery functions such as mixing, scaling, proofing, baking, frying, and finishing bakery items as directed according to standard formulas and procedures
- Be knowledgeable of basic bakery terms and processes such as fermentation, bench time, proofing, and effects of temperature variations on bakery items
- Assist in making orders for bakery ingredients and supplies and maintain inventory levels in accordance with department and store policy
- Fill, rotate, arrange and merchandise displays and display cases
- Possess knowledge of pricing, dating, wrapping or bagging of all bakery products in accordance with Bakery Merchant
- Be proactive on self-development to assume additional duties and responsibilities
- Comply with all company safety and accident prevention policies and report accidents to the Bakery Merchant
- Clean and sanitize bakery areas and equipment as directed
- Maintain department equipment in good working order and recommend repairs when necessary
