Job Duties
- perform bakery functions such as mixing, scaling, proofing, baking, frying, and finishing bakery items as directed
- be knowledgeable of basic bakery terms and processes such as fermentation, bench time, proofing, and temperature effects
- assist in making orders for bakery ingredients and supplies and maintain inventory levels
- fill, rotate, arrange and merchandise bakery displays
- ensure proper pricing, dating, wrapping or bagging of bakery products
- proactively pursue self-development for additional duties
- comply with company safety and accident prevention policies and report accidents
- clean and sanitize bakery areas and equipment
- maintain all bakery equipment in good working order and recommend repairs
