Job Requirements
- Valid food handlers' card required within 30 days of employment or per state/local law
- Experience in food service, fast-casual dining, or hospitality preferred
- Ability to work at least three shifts weekly including two closing shifts
- Ability to work evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English
- Ability to communicate clearly and provide excellent guest service
- Ability to lift and handle ice cream tubs and supplies
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to operate POS systems
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards

Job Duties
- Attentively interact with guests throughout their visit with patience, positivity, and effervescence
- Maintain a strong understanding of Salt & Straw's brand and production techniques to educate guests and provide flavor recommendations
- Scoop the perfect portion for guests in line with shop standards
- Accurately process transactions using the POS system and handle cash
- Prepare, label, and store waffle batter and cones while maintaining a clean waffle station
- Adhere to food quality and safety standards including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining shop areas
- Replenish retail products, restock freezers, waffle batter, cones, and supplies
- Consolidate ice cream tubs and replenish stock from the walk-in freezer
- Accurately pack third-party delivery orders ensuring correct portioning and labeling
- Promptly answer phones and provide excellent service
- Facilitate line flow, greet guests, promote online ordering and pint purchases
- Taste and sample ice cream flavors daily to better communicate product qualities
