Job Description

The Southern Colorado Institute of Transportation Technology (SCITT) is a renowned state-sponsored institute based at Colorado State University Pueblo (CSU Pueblo). SCITT is dedicated to advancing education, research, and workforce development in the transportation sector, focusing specifically on innovative ground and intermodal transportation systems. The institute collaborates with significant partners, including the Federal Railroad Administration's Transportation Technology Center, ENSCO, Inc., MxV Rail, and the Colorado Department of Transportation. Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree
  • strong written communication skills
  • experience requiring strong verbal communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners
  • proficiency in project management and training/event management systems
  • excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • attention to detail in administrative and grant management tasks

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree
  • strong written communication skills
  • experience requiring strong verbal communication skills
  • master's degree preferred
  • project or office management certifications preferred
  • social media experience such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram preferred
  • photo and/or video-editing experience preferred
  • experience working with students and/or staff from diverse backgrounds preferred
  • teaching experience at middle school level or above preferred

Job Duties

  • organize and coordinate training events, seminars and conferences
  • schedule trainings
  • recruit students
  • answer phone calls
  • receive students
  • support lab work
  • arrange field trips
  • purchasing
  • provide student support
  • collaborate with the Director and instructional design contractors to design, deliver, maintain, update, and assess curriculum
  • assist with technology agreements and work with instructional partner companies
  • provide project management support
  • perform outreach activities including communication with potential students, preparing and distributing flyers, managing social media outreach, and presenting at community events
  • draft and edit comprehensive grant reports
  • prepare communication materials and support dissemination of project results
  • organize and schedule team meetings
  • prepare agendas
  • document meeting minutes
  • manage project-related records and documentation systems
  • facilitate team collaboration to meet project milestones
  • track progress on deliverables
  • follow up on pending tasks
  • act as liaison between stakeholders to promote communication
