Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in food service or cafeteria work preferred but not required
- ability to read and write English
- ability to follow instructions orally and in writing
- ability to operate machinery found in school cafeterias or Central Kitchen
- availability to work flexible hours including potential substitute shifts
- clearance of Tuberculosis required prior to employment
- background check required
- fingerprint fee payment required
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food preparation procedures
- familiarity with food utensils and appliances
- understanding of sanitation principles in food preparation and kitchen maintenance
- basic mathematics skills
- ability to read and write English

Job Duties
- Assist with general cleaning
- assist in all phases of the school lunch preparation
- serve lunches and a la carte items
- wash pots and pans
- clean kitchen area and appliances
- put stock away, store food, supplies and equipment
- order and sell food items as required
