Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year experience in commercial or institutional food preparation
- ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- ability to carry, push, stoop, reach, and perform fingering functions
- ability to shift tasks and priorities
- ability to handle frequent interruptions
- strong communication skills

Job Qualifications
- Meet minimum qualifications for Assistant and Satellite Servers
- one year experience in commercial or institutional food preparation
- ability to utilize fundamentals of meal preparation
- skills to plan menus and adjust recipes
- competency to complete and maintain all records
- ability to substitute as needed
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve attractive, high quality, nutritious, cost effective meals following standardized procedures, complete tasks within time allocated, comply with approved safety and sanitation procedures, assist in cleaning kitchen, equipment, tables and storeroom, report equipment malfunctions, assist in maintaining food and supply inventories, may direct or assist unit employees in meal preparation tasks, maintain required daily records and reports, collect money and account for meals served, maintain a plate count for record of meals served, promote Child Nutrition Services programs, assist school staff in promoting proper nutrition, establish and maintain cooperative working relations with others, perform related duties as assigned
